Dear graduates,

The day you have worked so hard to achieve is finally here! All you have invested — the reading, papers, projects and tests — have paid off. While this year’s Commencement will not be in the traditional manner, it’s nevertheless an exciting time to celebrate your milestone with family and friends.

This past semester has tested your resilience and resolve. You have been physically away from campus and your classmates, professors and friends. You have learned to connect with each other differently and have been flexible and adaptable. Your Pacific education has prepared you well for the ever-changing world in which we live. You graduate today with a strong academic foundation, rooted in the liberal arts. You have added your unique talents, often giving back to our community as much as you have received. Through experiential learning opportunities, lifetime friendships and challenging academics, you have grown intellectually, socially and emotionally.

Our faculty and staff have encouraged, challenged and mentored you as you pursued your passion, developed your talents and discovered your purpose. With great anticipation, all of us at Pacific look forward to watching this next chapter of your lives unfold and the exciting opportunities it will bring.

Today’s Commencement is an important occasion when we joyfully celebrate your achievements and welcome you to our distinctive family of Pacific alumni. The future is promising: our alumni accomplish great things professionally, personally and in their communities. You came to Pacific with goals and dreams, and today you are ready to pursue them. We are all indeed so very proud of you!
